Foundations

Foundations Don’t Fail

Life can be unpredictable. Storms arise, people change, and circumstances shift. But there is one thing that never moves: God’s truth. Matthew 7:24–25 reminds us of a wise builder: “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”

Foundations matter. What we build our lives on determines how we weather the storms. Pat and I have seen countless lives shaken by disappointment, fear, or failure — but the lives anchored in God’s Word stand firm.

Building on the rock doesn’t mean life will be easy. It means we are secure in the One who holds everything together. Every decision, every step, every choice to obey Him is like placing another stone in a foundation that cannot be moved.

Reflection Thought:What part of your life needs a stronger foundation? How can God’s truth become the rock that supports you today?
