Your Wait Is Not Wasted

If you are in a season of waiting today, take heart — God has not forgotten you.

It can feel that way, though, can't it? Days stretch into weeks. Prayers seem to rise and fall without an answer. The dream you've been holding onto quietly begins to feel foolish. The silence wraps around you like a fog, and you wonder if you've somehow been overlooked.

You haven't been.

The silence is not absence. It is preparation.

Scripture is filled with people who waited — and whose waiting was never wasted. Joseph spent years in a pit and a prison before standing in a palace. Abraham and Sarah held a promise for decades before they held a child. David was anointed king long before he ever wore a crown. In each story, the waiting wasn't a detour. It was the journey. It was where character was carved, where faith was deepened, where the person God needed them to become was quietly formed.

The same is true for you.

Here is the question worth sitting with: not just when will the promise come, but who is God making you while you wait? Because the breakthrough you're believing for will require a version of you that doesn't yet fully exist. The patience, the humility, the unshakable trust — these aren't qualities you arrive with. They are qualities the waiting produces.

That's not a comfortable truth. But it is a liberating one.

Your wait is doing something in you that success delivered too soon never could. It is building a foundation deep enough to hold what's coming. It is teaching you to trust not just in God's promises, but in God Himself — in His character, His faithfulness, His perfect sense of timing.

And His timing has never been wrong.

Not once. Not for Joseph. Not for David. Not for the disciples who sat in an upper room waiting for a Promise they didn't yet understand. And not for you.

So hold on. Keep praying. Keep believing. The fact that you're still waiting does not mean you've been forgotten — it may mean you're closer than you think.

Your wait is not wasted. It is working.
