The Stillness Between the Storms
Life has a way of keeping us busy, doesn’t it? There’s always something calling for our attention, pulling us in a hundred directions at once. But every now and then, God invites us to stop. To pause. To breathe.
The stillness isn’t empty — it’s where God meets us. Psalm 46:10 reminds us: “Be still, and know that I am God.” Not “do more,” not “try harder,” just be still. That stillness is sacred space, a quiet place where the noise of the world fades, and the whisper of the Spirit grows clear.
I’ve learned over the years that some of the most profound moments of guidance, comfort, and clarity come in those pauses. The storm doesn’t have to stop for us to experience His presence. Even in the middle of life’s challenges, there is a stillness that holds us.
Take a moment today. Breathe in God’s peace. Let go of the chaos for just a few minutes. Notice how He shows up — often in the small, quiet ways that we least expect.
Reflection Thought:Where in your life right now do you need to step into stillness? How can you make space for God’s voice to be heard?
